Merry Christmas everyone! We had the Lundgren family Christmas Eve get together at my dad's cousins, and Christmas day at our house. After church, grandpa came over for some games of 500 and played some mean toons on the guitar. All was well except my brother, who basically tried to ruin Christmas for the rest of us because he spent all of his Christmas money on drugs. I'm now having to listen to him curse at my mom for not giving him more money...I am ashamed that he acts like this and I have no idea how he came to be the person he is growing up in the same household as I did. It is really jogging the whole family, and my dad is going to have another heart attack. I'd ask that anyone reading this who cares, please pray for my brother, and that he would come to know God as he once did.
Anyway, just thought I'd share this: a student and I were discussing evolution/creation and he directed me to a great website. www.drdino.com. There are some videos discussing the creation, dinosaurs, and lies in school textbooks. I'm watching the first video now and it is very well done. I enjoyed the part where he states that creationists believe "In the beginning God....", while evolutionists believe "In the beginning Dirt...", referring to the big bang, which theorizes that all the matter in the universe was concentrated into a small, spinning dot, which exploded - forming planets, stars, and eventually life. So we either came from rocks or God created us. If we came from rocks, then there is no purpose to life, and when we die, we are simply nonexistent. If we were the work of a Creator, then we certainly have a purpose, our lives have real meaning, and there is life after death. I choose to believe the latter.
Anywho, have a wonderful last week of 2005!!!
